Oldfangled Thang

I’m of that generation– the sloppy kids too obsessed with themselves to follow the news.  But this semester in my Intro to Advertising class, my teacher gave us the daily assignment of reading the Advertising column of The New York Times.

(Take this minute to grovel in my agony and that of my whole class.)

Okay, but in reality, this is one of the best assignments I’ve ever been given. It’s a great way to stay relevant with the ever-changing arena of advertising, and really, the whole world. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve read an article just to find myself clicking on another “Related Article” and another and another endlessly until an hour later or maybe two… I’m not even reading about advertising anymore. And I love it.

So here’s the question, do you still read the news?

  1. I like the idea behind this blog, I found this based on the name ad-venture and I have a couple questions for you, I’m not really sure how to directly contact people on wordpress so if you send me an email that would be awesome. I think you’ll appreciate what I’m interested in doing.
    thanks!
